We were honored to host one of NuCalm’s long-time super users and friends, Dr. Michael Galitzer, in a live interview for our Mastermind Project participants (more information is included on the NuCalm Mastermind Project below). This is the first of several interviews we will share in our Masters Series, as we are hoping to enrich our NuCalm community with the wisdom that our many medical advisors, partners, and expert power users can offer. Dr. Galitzer is a nationally recognized expert in Energy Medicine, integrative medicine, and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. For more than 40 years, Dr. Galitzer has been a leading figure and innovator in the field of Energy Medicine to maximize longevity.
Dr. Galitzer discussed some of his vast experiences, the advice he gives his patients, and his personal habits for maximizing mind and body health which will then lead to longevity. Here are just a few of the tips he shared:
Drainage- It’s important to support the body’s pathways for toxin elimination before any type of detoxification process is implemented. If the body is detoxified without being drained first, the toxins will be released in the body and may cause negative symptoms (fatigue, aches, trouble concentrating, etc.). The drainage organs are the liver, the lymph and the kidneys; and the liver tends to activate between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. When the body wakes at this time relatively consistently, then the liver may be imbalanced. Additionally, if the body feels charged after waking (similar to after consuming caffeine), then one may also have adrenal fatigue. Liver imbalance and adrenal fatigue result in the body not being in sync which can cause a lack of energy, physical ailments and trouble focusing the mind.
Detoxification- The process to reduce and eliminate toxins derived from the environment and consumption to reduce overall toxicity of the body is recommended, after the drainage process. This is an important step to improve health as it will clean the body and mind so there is better synchronization. Dr. Galitzer recommends:
- squeezing a lemon into 6-8 ounces of water and drinking it in the morning
- consuming “liver friendly” vegetables like carrots, beets, zucchini, squash, watercress and artichokes (juiced or eaten raw)
- drinking green juice (there are various recipes and options that one can make according to taste preference that can include kale, apples, celery, and cucumbers)
- taking a vitamin c supplement or consuming through diet
- drinking plenty of water
- incorporating “kidney teas” like horsetail tea
- consuming “kidney” foods like parsley, pomegranate and asparagus
- eating organic as much as possible
- getting regular exercise (specifically high impact)
- practicing deep breathing exercises
Dr. Galitzer referred to the mind and body as an orchestra, and when all parts are working together in concert, it will play its greatest symphony. He offers many additional suggestions for draining and detoxifying the body to maximize overall health for optimal longevity. He also elaborates on what’s new in the Energy Medicine field that is exciting and innovative.
