2-Minute Energy Assessment

The best way to reach your destination is to start by knowing where you are. In health, that means honestly assessing how you feel right now.

This short assessment is adapted from the Galitzer Self-Health Assessment Test in Dr. Michael Galitzer's book Ageless Vitality — the same questionnaire he uses with his own patients. Answer each question honestly, note the number beside your answer, and add them up at the end. It takes about two minutes.

Your Score

Add up the numbers for your seven answers. As Dr. Galitzer explains in Ageless Vitality, the closer your total is to 35, the greater your overall health and energy. The lower your score, the greater your need to improve your health and energy.

29–35 — A strong foundation. Your energy is serving you well. The goal now is to protect it: the daily habits and principles in Ageless Vitality show you how to keep it that way for decades to come.

20–28 — Your energy is slipping. You're in the gray zone millions of people live in: not sick, but not well either. This is exactly where Energy Medicine works best — identifying where energy is being lost before it becomes illness. Start with the book, and notice which questions you scored lowest; those point to where to begin.

7–19 — Your body is asking for help. A score in this range means your health and energy have been declining, possibly for years — and "just getting older" is not an explanation you have to accept. This is the picture Dr. Galitzer's patients most often bring to his practice. A one-on-one assessment can find where your energy is going and what to do about it: learn what becoming a patient looks like.

Whatever your score, it's information, not a verdict. It's not hard to get out of balance — yet it's also not hard to get back into balance, once you know where you stand.
